Italian-Japanese designer Nicola Formichetti will resign as artistic director of famed lifestyle brand Diesel at the end of the year, according to a post on the designer’s Instagram account.

Formichetti did not say what his next step would be, and Diesel has made no official announcement of a replacement.

Before joining Diesel, Formichetti was artistic director of Mugler from 2010 to 2013. He has also worked on numerous magazines, including V, and has been a stylist and frequent collaborator with pop icon Lady Gaga.

As previously reported by MR, Italian fashion company OTB Group, the owner of Diesel is making changes to its management team in order to ensure its future strategic development. It has already announced that Ubaldo Minelli will join the company as the new chief executive officer of OTB in January and that more developments are expected.
