[metaslider id=108636] Nike Vision has launched its new spring 2016 running collection featuring new technology in performance sunglasses. Comprised of five new styles, the collection offers runners of all levels highly technical designs engineered for speed and comfort.

To develop this new line, Nike Vision partnered with industry leader ZEISS to manufacture a new lens from a custom mold that seamlessly fuses the lens material with the frame to increase coverage and offer ultra-lightweight eyewear. All styles include responsive comfort that grips when the athlete sweats and flexible arms that conform to the shape of wearer’s face for personalized stability and fit. The new eyewear also features advanced ventilation with an auto-adjusting nose pad that eliminates fog and expanded lenses for increased coverage and protection.

The new spring 2016 running collection styles include: the Nike Vaporwing and Nike Vaporwing Elite that features the new one-piece shield lens that provides an uninterrupted view and protective coverage; the Nike Tailwind and Nike Tailwind Swift which are designed for distance running with an adjustable frame, advanced clarity lens and engineered ventilation; and the Nike Bandit which features an ultra-lightweight frame designed for running on the trail, track and everywhere in between.

“To better serve our athletes, we looked to the future of sunglass design to incorporate new lens geometry and materials, as well as fit technology and design elements that haven’t been used in the performance eyewear industry before,” said Stephen Tripi, Marketing Director at Marchon Eyewear, Nike Vision’s licensee. “We really wanted to elevate athletic performance by developing a better system of eyewear. We started with a clean slate to create five new styles that provide options for every level of runner.”

The spring 2016 running collection is now available for purchase on NikeVision.com and Nike.com.
