Nike’s Self-Lacing Mag Sneakers Raised Nearly $7 Million For Parkinson’s Research

Sneaker fans, not to mention Back to the Future fans, have long been itching to get their hands on a real life pair of auto-lacing Nike Mags. And largely thanks to that nearly three-decades-long jones, the Michael J. Fox Foundation just netted $6.75 million for Parkinson’s research. Last week, 85 of the 89 pairs of the Tinker Hatfield-designed Mags were raffled off by Nike to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation (three more were sold at live auctions). Read more at Esquire.
