Canadian outerwear brand Nobis has unveiled its fall/winter 2021 collection. Celebrating its 15th anniversary with its boldest collection yet, this season is the first line from the company’s new senior design director Michael Kerr and reflects his experience with both traditional tailoring and performance outerwear.

Dedicated to urban explorers, this collection introduces new layering categories, new palettes, and vivid prints across the entire line. The offering for men, women, and children fuses three nature-inspired prints, four new neutral hues (pine, clay, wheat, terracotta), and a mix of 15 key styles (seven for women and men respectively, and one genderless).

“As we all constantly redefine what city life means, our views on sport and exploration are shifting as well. Now a new type of adventurer is emerging, not a ‘top of the mountain’ adventurer, but an urban explorer,” said Kerr. “With that in mind, we designed this Nobis collection with pieces specifically suited to the nomads and navigators of the world — the true global citizens.”

Each piece is designed to meet the changing needs of global winters, with core outerwear styles featuring Nobis’ signature membrane laminations, seam-sealed construction, durable water-repellent coatings, and premium Canadian-origin white duck-down insulation. Fabrics used for the collection include 3-Ply Micro Denier, 4-Way Durable Stretch Weave, Premium Stretch Ripstop, Signature Crosshatch, and a Premium Poly/Wool blend. Every item is machine washable.

The collection was also constructed for functionality across different seasons. Several outerwear pieces are fitted with pit zip ventilation systems, hidden or removable hoods, adjustable drawcords, and even face coverings for additional comfort. In terms of accessories, fall/winter 2021 offers a cohesive collection in premium fabrications with a palette of evergreen, coal, chalk, black, khaki, and gravel.

“With Michael on board, we have added significant bandwidth to our creative vision for the ever-evolving Nobis brand,” added Robin Yates, co-founder and vice president of Nobis. “We are now more capable and committed to continuing our legacy of creating durable, high-quality outerwear that’s designed for both function and fashion to complement your everyday pursuits.”

“As we celebrate the 15th anniversary of Nobis in 2021, we wanted to further our commitment to adaptive performance and individuality by amping up the versatility and modularity within the new collection,” Yates continued. “We achieve this by incorporating new layering pieces – designed to stand alone, while also integrating systematically across the collection to reflect our individual sense of personal style and performance requirements.”

Arriving online at retailers in early September, the fall/winter 2021 collection will be available at Nobis.com, Nordstrom, nordstrom.com, SSENSE, neimanmarcus.com, Syd Jerome, Paragon Sporting Goods, and more. Prices range from $700 to $1,495.
