OFF-WHITE RELEASES SECOND COLLABORATION WITH BRAUN

by Stephen Garner

For the second time, Off-White and its founder and creative director Virgil Abloh have partnered with Braun — the home appliance company — to create an exclusive alarm clock, which will be delivered in two limited edition color-ways. The collaboration launched on Tuesday, as part of an ongoing, overall venture between Abloh and Braun.

The alarm clock model of choice is Braun’s classic BC02, which is an understated and compact analog piece derived from the iconic AB1, designed by Dieter Rams and Dietrich Lubs in the late 1980s. The new Off-White c/o Braun edition is available in a highly saturated orange or a muted light blue color scheme, along with Off-White branding. These distinct Pantones were chosen, says Abloh, because they immediately and naturally “stand out in an interior setting design.”

Technical specifications of this reworked BC02 alarm clock include a matte finish case and dial, a quiet precision quartz movement, and a crescendo-sound alarm itself. The design is 57mm tall by 57mm wide, and uses AA batteries (not included).

The Off-White c/o Braun collection is available at Off-White online and select Off-White boutiques worldwide.
