PAUL SMITH TO CLOSE FIFTH AVENUE SHOP AND OPEN TEMPORARY STORE ON 357 BLEECKER STREET
British designer Paul Smith is closing his Fifth Avenue store in Manhattan’s Flatiron district and temporarily relocating to 357 Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village on January 18. Meanwhile, Smith will continue to looking for more permanent premises.
The Bleecker Street store will house a curated selection of men’s clothing, accessories, and shoes, along with a small assortment of women’s accessories. Smith is known for his brightly colored and patterned designs. The company was first founded in England in 1970, and Sir Paul received a CBE for his services to the fashion industry in 1994.
Paul Smith recently opened a store in Manhattan’s Brookfield Place, and also has standalone shops in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
