PITTI PEOPLE: THE BEST LOOKS FROM DAY TWO OF PITTI UOMO

by Stephen Garner

With a much larger turnout today than yesterday, to say the Fortezza was crowded would be an understatement. Nevertheless, it does seem the Pitti Peacock of yore is buckling on his and her sartorial values. I am seeing more and more streetwear influence with bulky “dad” sneakers being worn with suits, to many people ditching the suit all together. But don’t fret, there are still plenty of gentleman (and ladies) sticking to their guns and flaunting the colorful menswear we all love (and sometime hate) to see walking around the show.

Anyway, check out a few of the best dressed gents we could catch at the second day of the 95th edition of Pitti Uomo in Florence.

  1. Hi Stephen,
It never ceases to amaze me at the center of Men’s fashion, how many men dressed in suit or jacket never have the appropriate length at the cuff! Too often and too long! I know some are models for a brand and they just put on a stock sample suit without altering it. Enjoy the show and my warm regards to you and Karen please.

    Ciao for now…..

  2. Given the recent menswear offerings ( Bottega, Varvatos, Coach, Agnes b., for example) Ivwas underwhelmed by the offerings displayed.
