Feeding a trend that seems to be gaining steam as the years go on, menswear retailer Pursuit has opened an ugly Christmas sweater pop-up store for the season. According to the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party Book: The Definitive Guide to Getting Your Ugly On, the popularity of parties celebrating the garish garments began around 2001, which perhaps not coincidentally was the year that the movie Bridget Jones’ Diary was released.
