PUMA AND THE BROOKLYN CIRCUS’ MASH UP PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE CARIBBEAN FLAVA OF NYC’S HIP-HOP AND REGGAE SCENE

by John Russel Jones

Puma and The Brooklyn Circus (BKc) collaborated on a new collection honoring the vibrant Caribbean-American communities that helped shape New York’s Hip-Hop and Reggae movements. The collection spans knitwear, activewear, and streetwear, all made under the creative direction of Ouigi Theodore, founder of The Brooklyn Circus.

“From the booming sound systems in Kingston to the bashments in Brooklyn, Caribbean culture has always been the pulse of New York’s cultural heartbeat. This collection honors the fire and resilience of that movement and how it continues to shape the world,” says the Haitian-born Theodore.

The collection is available on both brands’ websites, at select Puma stores, and at The Brooklyn Circus’s locations in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, SoHo, and Manhattan. Retail prices start at $80 for a T-shirt and up to $150 for a V-neck sweater. Shoes are $120 and $170.
