RAG & BONE PARTNERS WITH ARKAIR ON CAPSULE

by Stephen Garner

Rag & Bone has unveiled a new limited-edition collaboration with ArkAir, the essential supplier of highly functional outwear, designed and manufactured in the U.K.

Staying true to Rag & Bone’s long history of military references the new capsule leverages the technical expertise of ArkAir to deliver a selection of expertly crafted outerwear pieces for fall 2019.

Comprised of signature outerwear and accessories that express the ArkAir aesthetic with a Rag & Bone twist, the new capsule takes a modern and updated approach to tried and tested military apparel.

The collab features the “Military Smock”, which is crafted with a waterproof reversed engineered shell in a deconstructed camouflage print and solid military khaki. Each smock features four front box pockets, two-way zip closure and Velcro cuffs with subtle Rag & Bone branding. Iridescent pops of the ArkAir and Rag & Bone logos are uniquely incorporated within the camouflage shell. The fabric for the smocks is sourced from a unique technical fabric mill in Ireland, where it has been reinforced for durability and to resist the elements. A nylon reversible liner can be worn underneath the jacket or on its own.

Additionally, the minimal shape of a coaches jacket is updated with a netted lining and a waterproof shell for this collection. Finished with a drawstring hem, snap button front closures, and a reflective chest pocket patch, the coaches jacket is a reimagined twist on a classic. To complete the capsule, a nylon bucket hat in the camouflage print is coupled with a sturdy nylon backpack fastened with adjustable straps and functional side pockets
