Ralph Lauren is celebrating the revival and resurgence of New York City at the 2021 US Open Tennis Championships, as the tournament returns to full capacity for the first time since 2019.

Celebrating the energy and vitality of the city’s most iconic sporting event, Ralph Lauren’s US Open campaign highlights a unique and distinctly New York fashion expression, shot at the iconic Arthur Ashe Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The concept brings together a group of friends for a day at the US Open, celebrating a style and attitude only found in New York. The campaign features two official US Open Ball people, alongside a series of models showcasing looks from the men’s and women’s Polo Ralph Lauren spring/summer and fall ’21 collections, mixed with the Polo Ralph Lauren Official US Open Collection.

Polo Ralph Lauren has been the Official Outfitter of the US Open Tennis Championships since 2005, providing uniforms for all on-court officials and ball persons as well as a US Open collection of men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel and accessories.

Continuing to support the company’s commitment to sustainability, the Polo Ralph Lauren 2021 ball persons’ uniforms will be made from yarn derived from recycled plastic bottles. The fabric will also have functional performance features, like stretch, moisture-wicking properties, and UV protection, all constructed for active play. Polo Ralph Lauren collected over 454lbs of Wilson plastic tennis ball cans from the 2020 Tournament, which were then processed through a unique manufacturing process and turned into high-quality yarn. In partnership with Wilson, Polo Ralph Lauren will again be collecting plastic tennis ball cans at this year’s tournament that will be incorporated into fabric as the company continues to elevate its circular production models.

Complementing the uniform is a graphic and playful collection of off-the-court styles. The collection is done in fresh, primary color palette of red, blue, yellow, and green and features fun graphics and bold color-blocking. The full collection is available at the Polo Ralph Lauren shops and in the 1968 Club in The Overlook on-site at the US Open as well as online at ralphlauren.com for the duration of the tournament.

Throughout New York City, Ralph Lauren will launch unique and immersive consumer experiences, bringing the world of Ralph Lauren to life in new ways. The Madison Avenue and Prince Street stores will live-stream tennis matches on screens displayed in the store’s windows. Customers are invited to watch while enjoying a refreshing beverage from Ralph’s Coffee.

Once again, Polo Ralph Lauren will offer a comprehensive customization program on-site at US Open. A presentation of Polo apparel and accessories, including Polo shirts, water bottles, and totes can be personalized through an original printing process. Customers can enjoy the US Open experience while they wait for their designs to be printed and will receive a text message or email when their item is ready for pickup.
