Rocky Zhou has acquired all the remaining shares of Montreal-based menswear company Cashmere Outfitters Inc. from his business partner, Adam Ray, who stepped down as president last month and is no longer associated with the company.

Cashmere Outfitters designs, manufactures and markets its own portfolio of menswear brands including Cardinal of Canada and Nikky New York. Currently, Cardinal of Canada’s coats and sport jackets are featured in Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom, while Nikky New York’s fully handmade tailored clothing is carried by high-end selected fine retail stores in the USA.

“Our business will continue to provide the same high-quality garments and excellent service and wide selection on which we have built our reputation, and added value to the markets under both Cardinal of Canada and Nikky New York brands,” says Zhou, the company’s owner and CEO. “This latest change in leadership as well as other internal changes reinforce and evolve the structure and process to needed to better align with our customers’ goals.”

In addition, Zhou also owns men’s apparel production facilities in Ningbo, China with access to local, family-owned woolen mills, allowing for full vertical sourcing, design and production.
