Ross and Larson Promoted at Abboud
NEW YORK – JA Apparel announced two promotions on Friday in what was characterized as a reorganization of responsibilities within the company.
Jeannie Wesel Ross, vice president of sportswear sales for Abboud, will now have responsibility for the company’s furnishings as well. Ross has been with JA Apparel Corp. for nine years, and began her work as manager of the retail coordinator program. Five years later she was promoted to vice president of retail services until her move into the sportswear department in May 2006.
Trudy Larson, vice president of marketing, who joined Abboud earlier this year from CJ Apparel Group, will add retail services to her responsibilities overseeing marketing and public relations for the Joseph Abboud and JOE brands. She will be in charge of corporate identity, presentation in stores, store events, and direct co-op. Angela Maresca, director of retail services, will now report directly to Larson
Ross, Larson and Jim Bresnahan, who heads clothing sales, will all continue to report to Marty Staff, president and chief executive officer. “Joseph Abboud has experienced strong growth in recent years, and we felt it was time to re-align the management team,” said Marty Staff. “By making these changes we are positioning the organization for continued success.”
