Russell Athletic has announced its first collaboration with world-renowned dance studio and lifestyle brand The Lab. This ultimate cozy collection features a black hoodie, sweatpants, crewneck, shorts, and a tee from the brand’s Classic Collection, a line from the ‘80s and ‘90s known for its clean simplistic styling, comfort, and ruggedness.

The Lab – home of featured dancers and choreographers for Justin Bieber, Cardi B, BTS, Drake, Jennifer Lopez, Savage x Fenty and more – stands for expressive and culturally driven projects meant to drive both creativity and awareness for the consumer. This line is meant for the movers, creatives, and athletes whose lifestyles are shaping the world we live in today.

The campaign features two of The Lab’s mastermind dancers and choreographers Sienna Lalau and Nat Bebko. Lalau’s choreography was featured in Jennifer Lopez’s “It’s My Party” World Tour, and in 2020, she was awarded her first MTV VMA for Best Choreography for Kpop sensation, BTS’ “On”. She also choreographed the Visual Music Video feat. The Lab for “Yummy” for Justin Bieber feat. Summer Walker Remix. Bebko was most recently featured in Rihanna’s Fenty x Savage Show and was a dancer in “Popstar” by Drake.

“This is really a dream collaboration for us at The Lab,” said Valerie Ramirez, founder and creative director of The Lab. “To partner with such an iconic athletic brand like Russell Athletic, it gives a lot of weight to the plight of recognizing dancers as athletics. From intense training, competition, performing, or touring, dancers move their bodies with intense purpose and agility and with the stamina and mentality of an athlete. This collaboration brings together the coziness of a creative “Lab” lifestyle with the vintage phys-ed feel of Russell’s high-quality apparel made for optimum performance.”

The collection, which retails between $40 and $75, is available now on The Lab’s website.
