[metaslider id=118879] On Thursday, September 15, Saks Fifth Avenue exclusively debuted The Sartorialist x Sutot Mantelassi capsule collection of footwear with a kick-off event at the brand’s Fifth Avenue New York flagship. The collection is being sold at the store’s Fifth Avenue and Boston locations as well as on Saks.com.

Designed by luxury Italian men’s footwear brand Sutor Mantellassi in partnership with Scott Schuman, founder of the street style blog “The Sartorialist”, the new collection includes three shoes that are a combination of modern style and Italian craftsmanship.

Each shoe from the collection is made in Italy and features functional, yet forward designs for fall, such as the double-strap boot with sturdy lug stoles, the non-slip MM3 lace-up inspired by actor Marcello Mastraoianni and a mixed media striped sneaker built for running around town.

During the event, guests designed their own bespoke Sutor Mantellassi sneakers and a panel of judges, including Shuman, Sutor Mantellassi CEO Anton Magnani and Saks Fifth Avenue VP Fashion Director Eric Jennings selected one winning men’s and one winning women’s design. Each winner will soon receive their own custom-made The Sartorialist x Sutor Mantellassi sneaker designed from the event.
