SAKS FIFTH AVENUE TO CLOSE DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN MEN’S STORE
Saks Fifth Avenue is closing its downtown Manhattan men’s store.
On Friday, January 31st, the retailer will close its Brookfield Place men’s location, according to a company spokesperson.
“The Brookfield Place Saks Fifth Avenue men’s store will close on January 31,” the spokesperson said in a statement to MR. “With this branch location, we determined that our customers’ preferred shopping experience is a combination of our digital channels and our iconic Fifth Avenue flagship, where we have created an unparalleled luxury shopping destination. The decision to close this location was not easy, and we intend to transfer as many sales associates to new roles as possible.”
The 16,000 square-foot men’s store opened in February 2017 with a “strong focus on modern men’s fashion along with a premier shoe and accessories assortment.”
The shuttering of the men’s store comes about a year after Saks closed its 86,000 square-foot three-level women’s store at the same mall, which is also home to the U.S. headquarters of Saks’ parent Hudson’s Bay Company.
Men and women are dressing like such slobs…its not about fashion it’s about style and no one has sense any more. Our grandparents knew more about clothing and dressing then the millenials. Old 16 items to change your wardrobe. That’s if you have the basics Jean’s and flannel dont hack it.

Ok boomer.
Really. Tastes have changed and the majority of men do not go to Saks for clothes.
I wonder, what is the underlying reason for mass leading stores closings?
Lord & Taylor, Macy’s. JCPENNEY, Kohl’s, 5th Avenue Sacks, and so forth..
What’s going on?
