Saks Fifth Avenue is reopening its restaurant, L’Avenue, at its New York City flagship store today, Wednesday, September 30th.

The restaurant is now open for lunch and dinner at reduced capacity with enhanced health and safety protocols. Reservations for L’Avenue at Saks can be made on Resy.

“We are thrilled to reopen L’Avenue at Saks and provide another opportunity to serve guests at our New York flagship,” said Marc Metrick, president and CEO of Saks Fifth Avenue. “When we opened L’Avenue at Saks over a year ago, our goal was to create a one-of-a-kind dining destination for both New Yorkers and our global customer base. Restaurant dining is an integral part of New York’s culture and what makes it such a vibrant city. We look forward to welcoming guests back to L’Avenue at Saks as the city continues to reopen and reinvigorate the many businesses that call it home.”

In accordance with guidelines from local government and health officials, the restaurant is operating at 25 percent capacity upon reopening. A modified menu is being offered to diners temporarily. Previously a lounge area within the restaurant, Le Chalet has been converted into a second dining room. The space, modeled after a ski lodge, offers a cozy dining experience and transports guests to the French Alps. Additionally, outdoor dining with views of Rockefeller Center is available on the Terrace on a first-come, first-served basis.

“The dishes we have chosen to highlight for our reopening are menu classics that everyone has come to know and love,” added Cedric Domenech, executive chef at L’Avenue at Saks. “On behalf of the entire team, we are delighted to welcome our guests back to L’Avenue at Saks.”

Beginning on Monday, October 5th, select prepared items from the L’Avenue at Saks menu, such as Tom Yam Chili Sea Bass, Organic Chicken with Curry Chutney, and Spicy Tuna Tartare with Avocado, will be available for local delivery through Caviar and DoorDash.

Saks also noted that L’Avenue will continue to offer three-course meal kits, bottled cocktails, and Pierre Hermé desserts for pickup or delivery to The Hamptons and Manhattan below 153rd Street daily. Orders received before 10 a.m. each day will be delivered that evening and orders placed after 10 a.m. will arrive the next day.

Additional restaurants across Saks Fifth Avenue stores that are open with mandated health and safety protocols in place include 51fifteen Cuisine & Cocktails in Houston, Gastronomy Restaurant’s Patio in Long Island, Casa Tua Cucina in Miami, Sophie’s in Sarasota, Tilly’s Tea Room in Indianapolis, Pusateri’s at Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke, and Leña Restaurante in Toronto.
