Heritage Classic Foundation has launched its “Plaid Pledge” campaign in support of health care workers with the help of Southern Tide, the official apparel partner of the Heritage Classic, which the 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization happens to be hosting later this month.

With this initiative, 100 percent of the proceeds raised will be shared by the South Carolina Hospital Association Foundation and the Heritage Classic Foundation for their registered charity partners.

Supporters can purchase a #PlaidPledge t-shirt, hat, or any item from the featured Golf Shop by Southern Tide and 20 percent of net sales will be donated to the Plaid Pledge campaign, where it will be equally shared by the SC Hospital Association and the Heritage Classic Foundation for their registered charity partners.

“As the Official Style Sponsor of the RBC Heritage, we are pleased to join forces with the Heritage Classic Foundation and the South Carolina Hospital Association again to continue to support our healthcare professionals,” said Christopher Heyn, CEO of Southern Tide. “These individuals are inspiring in their tireless dedication to keeping our community safe, and we are so grateful. Southern Tide looks forward to further showing our appreciation through this campaign.”

PGA Tour Professionals, South Carolina leaders, and RBC Heritage supporters have joined the Plaid Pledge and will be highlighting healthcare worker stories on their social media platforms to encourage their followers to make a donation.

“The Heritage Classic Foundation was not able to generate the traditional charitable impact from hosting the April event that it usually does,” said Steve Wilmot, tournament director. “This new June time slot creates a platform to give back to those who stepped up in a huge way.”
