An homage to the metropolitan life, creative director for Spyder Korea, Christopher Bevans took inspiration from intricate city grids and subway metro maps for the brand’s spring/summer 2020 collection presented in Milan on Monday.

Sharp graphic lines, contrasting bands and bold trims are among his signature design touches that exalt a distinctive attitude. The collection encompasses functional and highly impactful anoraks, tracksuits, hoodies, tanks tops and roomy waterproof jackets. The color palette mixes black and white, bright blue and yellow as well as the pink and orange tones of a subtle pattern emulating the shades of the sky at sunset.

Celebrating warmer climates, high-tech garments for water sports are introduced as well. Neon tones, graphic motifs and color blocks give exciting touches to board shorts, t-shirts and surf tops that standout among the waves.

Spyder’s ongoing research and development efforts shine in the Techwear line, where versatile metropolitan staples incorporate advanced technologies into beautifully designed pieces.

Reflective accents, art-inspired marble textures and sleek black and gray hues adorn much of the capsule. Unique silhouettes and timeless classics feature superior waterproof, windproof and highly breathable materials. Laser cut windbreakers, joggers, bombers, t-shirts and short pants are mixed and matched for a contemporary layered look, injected with street appeal.

Ergonomic silhouettes carefully designed to facilitate the body’s movements offer just the right dose of compression in the Performance range. Bold, energetic tones of orange, green and red are juxtaposed with graphic touches of white and black. Geometric color blocking and the brand’s signature Spyder logo are highlighted across styles ranging from more eye-catching, multicolor training garments, to the minimalistic geometric graphics of the layered running looks for modern-day ninjas camouflaging in the urban landscape.
