If you hadn’t noticed, tennis is – once again! – enjoying a big pop culture moment. A new season of Break Point dropped on Netflix at the beginning of the year, highlighting the lives of the sport’s next generation of stars. Then, of course, there was Luca Guadagnino’s erotically-charged drama Challengers, starring Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist, which took the tension from the courts and brought it into the bedroom. That’s not to mention the film’s costumes, which quickly inspired the ‘tennis-core’ trend that’s still infiltrating social media feeds and wardrobes.
