THE KOOPLES FINDS INSPIRATION IN GREAT STYLE ICONS FOR FALL COLLECTION

by Stephen Garner

This autumn/winter, The Kooples takes inspiration from great style icons of the last century: musicians, rebels, and free thinkers that inspire an attitude and an aesthetic at the French fashion brand that moves seamlessly between men’s and women’s seasonal wardrobes, with coordinating prints of polka dots, paisleys, and monochrome stripes.

A collection by The Kooples wouldn’t be complete without a selection of total black looks, showcasing minimal chic cuts for men and women.

For menswear, The Kooples pays tribute to dandyish tailoring with single-breasted skinny suits, smoking jackets, and fabrics in micro-houndstooth and Prince of Wales check. Prints using musical notes echo vintage pieces, as do coats and jackets in a dark leopard print.

The Kooples Sport menswear collection uses a palette of pale pink, grey, black and white on luxe sportswear pieces like slim sweatpants, bucket hats and skull-print T-shirts.

Womenswear takes its cue from tough femininity. A pink floral print adds softness to dresses and blouses, while black studded cowboy boots and leather jackets nod to the punk take on traditional American culture.
