By Erik DeFruscio
Tod’s opened its 9th nationwide boutique in Buckhead, Atlanta yesterday. The company has echoed its values of tradition and craftsmanship in the décor of the new store, featuring classic traditional Italian design.
The sales floor of the new Tod’s boutique measures over 2,000 square feet and includes both women’s wear and menswear collections (bags, shoes, SLG’s and accessories). The interior walls are made of saddle stitched boiseries matched in pale leather, bright wood coated panels and gray stone.
The space includes leather sofas, furniture with steel details and additional pieces crafted from steel and marble. President and CEO, Diego Della Valle said, “The idea was to make our clients feel at home. A house built in a classic Italian style with thousands of fine details is always rare to find.”
Additionally, in celebration of the opening, a special-edition Swarovski crystal Cape bag will be sold in the boutique. The Cape bag has been worn by celebrities including Leigh Lezark and was designed by creative director, Alessandra Facchineti for the spring 2015 collection. It will be available in multi-colored calfskin leather and topped with Swarovski crystal embroidery.
