Travis Mathew has launched its first Eco Collection. The new line by the California-inspired menswear brand uses new fabric blends featuring at least 98 percent organic cotton or at least 62 percent polyester made from recycled plastic water bottles.

From now through December 15th, Travis Mathew will donate 100 percent of profits from the Eco Collection, with a minimum donation of $100,000 to the Surfrider Foundation, which is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves, and beaches, for all people.

“We are extremely excited and proud to launch our Eco Collection benefiting the Surfrider Foundation,” said Ryan Ellis, CEO of Travis Mathew. “We’ve been working on this project for a long time, putting in tons of research in an effort to find solutions and build more sustainability in our product line and in our company’s practices. We know it’s important to do our part and we couldn’t be happier to join the fight for our planet’s health.”

The brand will also be rolling out corporate initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint with employees at its headquarters. The offices will have reusable cups and utensils, office-wide recycling programs, and energy-conscious light fixtures. Travis Mathew is also researching what more it can do to improve sustainability in the company’s practices —from electric vehicle charging stations to solar energy.
