UJA Luncheon Raises $1.6 Million
Yesterday’s UJA-Federation of New York luncheon honoring Sammy Aaron of G-III, Abbey Doneger of the Doneger Group and Efraim Grinberg of Movado raised $1.6 million. The organization uses this annual campaign to support its extensive network of nonprofits.
Harry Smith of NBC News was the master of ceremonies for the crowd of more than 600 fashion industry executives at the Pierre Hotel on Fifth Avenue.
Sammy Aaron, who is CEO of G-III’s Calvin Klein business, got his award from G-III chief executive Morris Goldfarb. Efraim Grinberg, who is chairman and CEO of Movado Group, was presented with his award by Coach chairman emeritus Lew Frankfort. And Abbey Doneger had the Fashion Division Service Award presented to him by Adam Doneger, who’s a director at Eastdil Secured.
