URBAN OUTFITTERS AND CHAMPION DEBUTS NEW CAMPAIGN, COLLECTION
National specialty store Urban Outfitters and athletic brand Champion have debuted their newest national editorial campaign together, titled “What Do You Champion?”.
The multi-media and experiential campaign features five up-and-coming creatives in music, photography, art and acting wearing the newest Champion apparel styles, while discussing what being a champion means to them and the causes that are prompting them to dream big. The campaign’s goal is inspire students to think about what they champion in their everyday lives and the ways in which they are helping and giving back to their local communities.
Shot by photographer Laurel Golio, the cast includes: rapper Princess Nokia, artist Emmanuel Olunka, student Camille Jansen, actor Kyle Allen, and Golio herself.
The campaign features a dual-gender assortment of hoodies, crew sweatshirts, and joggers in fresh shades of turquoise, pink, cream, peach, and slate, as well as new short styles, a basketball jersey, a hoodie with an oversized Champion “C” logo, a crew sweatshirt with a Champion script logo, and colorblock styles. Prices range from $45 to $70.
To celebrate the launch of the collection, Urban Outfitters and Champion will be hosting two UO Live events with a performance by the face of the campaign, rapper Princess Nokia. The first event will be held at UO’s Georgetown location in Washington D.C. on Thursday, August, 17, and the second, at UO’s Ponce De Leon location in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, August 19. Both events will include an exclusive shopping event from 8 to 9 PM EST with free embroidery of Champion product with purchase. The performance by Princess Nokia will begin at 9 PM EST. Space is limited, and entrance will be granted on a first-come first-served basis.
The Champion collection is now available in select Urban Outfitters stores globally and on urbanoutfitters.com. The campaign will live across all social and web platforms, featuring confessional-style videos by each of the cast members.
