Coinciding with the launch of its spring 2019 collection, Vancouver-based performance label Veilance has unveiled a new brand identity and website. Formerly called Arc’teryx Veilance, the brand will now be known simply as Veilance.

“With our ten-year anniversary approaching, we felt it was time for a new visual ID,” said Dominique Showers, general manager of Veilance. “While Veilance is still part of the Arc’teryx brand, the updated logo and name will allow us to further distinguish ourselves in the technical fashion category.”

The first collection to be released under the new Veilance moniker, spring ‘19 utilizes an assortment of state-of-the-art materials and innovative construction techniques to make it one of the company’s most versatile and adaptive to date. Working directly with textile manufacturer Gore-Tex, the Veilance creative team developed an array of new, cutting edge fabrics that increase each garment’s capabilities, without adding weight or complication.

“Leveraging material innovation, Veilance products are getting lighter and enabling people to do things in everyday life they couldn’t have done otherwise,” said Taka Kasuga, creative director of Veilance. “Pieces are designed for packable travel versatility and adapt to rapid change in climate and environment, creating a little change that can make a real difference.”
