Ving Rhames Spokesman for Stacy Adams
NEW YORK – A dressy urban brand now has a classy, urbane spokesman.
Ving Rhames, the actor known for searing portrayals in movies like “Pulp Fiction” and his Golden Globe-winning depiction of Don King in the HBO miniseries “Only in America,” has been selected as the brand spokesman for Stacy Adams. He’ll be featured in the brand’s Spring 07 advertising and marketing campaign.
“As I was growing up, I aspired to be what the Stacy Adams brand represented,” said Rhames in a statement. “It’s great to now be the Stacy Adams man myself.”
Stacy Adams president Gary Malamet called the relationship “a unique situation as Ving has always been a fan of Stacy Adams, and we feel his style personifies what the brand is all about.”
The brand was founded 131 years ago by William Stacy and Henry Adams with their formation of the Stacy Adams Shoe Co. Licensing arrangements have allowed the brand to move from its long-established base in footwear into product categories including suits, sportswear, furnishings, accessories, outerwear and jewelry.
