WearFirst names Bass VP

NEW YORK—Young men’s sportswear brand WearFirst has named Chan Bass vice president, a newly created position. Bass reports to company president Harry Thompson.

Bass, a 30-year menswear veteran, started his career at Chess King. He started a woven and knit tops business called US Expedition in 1995 and grew the company to $40 million in sales over the next 15 years.

“Chan brings extensive knowledge and years of proven successes in the young men’s tops industry,” commented Thompson. “I am thrilled to have him spearheading our tops division.”

WearFirst recently expanded its existing bottoms business to include tops.
