WOOLRICH CELEBRATES OPENING OF NEW TORONTO STORE

On Thursday, December 8, leading American outerwear brand Woolrich hosted a private cocktail reception with special to celebrate the brand’s first Canadian store, which opened this week at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
The new space reflects the brand’s 187-year old history, merged with a contemporary and sophisticated aesthetic.Upon entry into the new store (reinterpreted by the design of Japanese architecture firm Wonderwall under the creative direction of Masamichi Katayama), guests will walk by the iconic Woolrich Buffalo Check plaid, located on the stores façade. As one explores the spacious store, floor-to-ceiling décor, merging the brand’s American heritage and contemporary pieces, is revealed.

Celebrity guests Emma Roberts, Jamie King and Avan Jogia joined the opening night celebration, mingling with guests and shopping the men’s and women’s collections, accessories and the brand’s new footwear line. Guests enjoyed delicious hors-d’oeuvres, wine, and champagne from L-eat Catering. Toronto-based DJ Jayem Kayem added to the event’s chic atmosphere with a selection of curated tunes.
“We’re thrilled to officially launch Woolrich in Canada – it’s an important market for our company’s expansion and international growth,” said Andrea Cane, global creative director for Woolrich. “This store marks the first steps in our plans for expansion, and we’re very much looking forward to our future openings in Vancouver and Montreal in the coming years.”
