Canadian menswear brand Jack Victor has launched its new eponymous outerwear collection, available for the first time for fall 2019.

The company has also confirmed that Adam Ray has joined its management team in the newly-created position of executive director of outerwear and key accounts. Ray will lead the development of the new Jack Victor outerwear collection, which is being proposed to major accounts in its inaugural season. The offering will feature premium and luxury fabrics, targeting a contemporary approach to outerwear informed by the brand’s tailoring heritage.

Ray will take on additional merchandising and business development responsibilities for several of Jack Victor’s other divisions. He will also become a member of the company’s executive committee.

Ray began his career at Cardinal Clothes, his family’s legacy maker of premium outerwear. Having grown up in the business, he discovered a passion for the industry early in life. At Cardinal his contributions in design, merchandising and sales were instrumental in the company’s growth, and he eventually became the third generation to take on a prime leadership role.

“Adam is a widely-respected outerwear specialist with a deep understanding of the market, grounded by his twenty-plus years in the industry,” said Alan Victor, president of Jack Victor Limited. “He has a tremendous energy and enthusiasm for the business, and I am thrilled that he has chosen Jack Victor to be the next stage of his successful career.”

“I am truly excited to be joining the Jack Victor Limited team, and I look forward to building the company’s new outerwear business in all channels and contributing elsewhere to the company’s growth,” added Ray. “This new division will have the infrastructure and resources to create and deliver compelling, quality outerwear products to the North American men’s market.”
