Alexander Julian COO Huston Julian recently announced three new additions to the team, as well as a renewed licensing contract for Japan today.

Michael Phillips, who has an extensive history in both specialty store retail and wholesale, (sportswear and tailored), has been appointed national sales manager, and will also handle key account sales.

Pat Hale, a 40-year veteran of men’s wholesale, who pioneered Colours by Alexander Julian, Tommy Hilfiger, and Peter Millar for better specialty stores, will handle sales in the Southwest.

Larry and Mary Ann Pickens will continue as West Coast sales representatives.

Kristien Cuthbertson, who has experience-enhancing brand communications across multiple industries, has been appointed art director and digital specialist.

AJI and TAKA-Q have agreed to a three-year renewal for distribution of all categories of Alexander Julian menswear and womenswear for Japan. TAKA-Q relaunched the brand in fall ‘17 with impressive results: $17 million in the first year, $27 million in year two.

The collection can be viewed this month at the Park Lane Show, suite 701; contact 203-550-4228.
