ASK THE EXPERT: AVOIDING SILENT SALES KILLERS

by BJ Stringham

They say “Silence is golden,” but paying attention to these silent cues may make the difference between keeping and losing that gold. BJ Stringham, of UWM Men’s Shop and Selling Is, explains that in retail environments, there are six common “silent sales killers” that can lead to lost sales and dissatisfied customers. These include failing to acknowledge spouse feedback, ignoring customers’ body language, lacking price clarity, poor follow-up, not providing requested products, and not carrying desired products. Addressing these issues directly can improve customer satisfaction and increase sales.
