BARBOUR COLLABORATES WITH 2 MONCLER 1952 MAN, DEBUTS AT SAKS POP-UP

by John Russel Jones

Combining the best of British and Italian design, leading heritage and lifestyle brand Barbour, is collaborating for the first time with luxury fashion house Moncler. The very special limited range is part of a larger 2 Moncler 1952 Man collection. The range, which includes dual-branded outerwear and accessories, seamlessly blends together the history and heritage of both iconic brands. Saks Fifth Avenue is celebrating the collaboration with an exclusive pop-up featuring the full collection.

Outerwear includes the Barbour Moncler Wight Jacket ($2,435), which is based on Barbour’s iconic Bedale style which was first introduced in the 1980s. This jacket has been re-imagined in three colorways; bright acid yellow, black, and an all-over ocelot animal print ($2,740). With an interactive 2 Moncler 1952 Man liner and a detachable hood equipped with dual branding, it’s a standout and versatile piece. The jacket can be paired with a matching Barbour Moncler Sports Bucket Hat ($495) to complete the look.

The Barbour Moncler Barra Peacoat ($2890) is a classic long line raincoat made in 6oz waxed cotton and featuring military button detailing. This style has been introduced in a khaki beige colorway with traditional Barbour features such as a throat latch detail and it is lined in Barbour’s traditional Ancient Tartan with a quilted Moncler inner.

Additionally, Saks Fifth Avenue has debuted an exclusive pop-up experience on the seventh floor of its New York flagship in celebration of the collaboration. The pop-up offers the full collection within a specially designed space that reframes and celebrates London’s subcultures. Customers can visit the pop-up starting today and the collection will be available to shop on saks.com and barbour.com immediately.
