BARBOUR INTERNATIONAL RELEASES LATEST COLLABORATION WITH STEVE MCQUEEN AT MACY’S

by Stephen Garner

Barbour International, in exclusive partnership with Macy’s, introduces its latest collaboration with actor Steve McQueen, one of the most prominent advocates of Barbour International of his time.

Established in 1936, the Scottish brand was inspired by motorcycle culture, designed specifically for the International Six Days Trial (ISDT) competition where, in 1964, McQueen himself wore a Barbour International waxed cotton suit. Today, Barbour International is world-renowned for the protection and functionality they offer motorcyclists.

That very inspiration, fused with McQueen’s passion for riding, lent itself to a natural partnership that celebrates McQueen’s effortless sense of style, unique carefree attitude, and sophisticated masculinity.

The 15-piece collection includes the Barbour international Duke Wax Jacket with upper and lower pockets and medium weight thornproof wax, the Gear Quilt with zip fastening capabilities and concealed rear studded vents, and the Ashbury Wax with oversized chest pockets and flag at the chest.

The collection is now available online and will be featured in 30 Macy’s retail locations across the U.S. from September 1. The collection will kick off with a window at Macy’s Herald Square as of August 26.
