BEHIND THE SCENES: MR FASHION
To coincide with New York Fashion Week: Men’s, and in honor of our redesign and relaunch of MR Magazine, the fashion in July’s issue had be on its A-game. Enlisting the services of the multi-talented photographer/artist Greg Swales, and casting our two models from two of the most prestigious model management agencies in America, we booked Vandervoort studios in Brooklyn, and scheduled appointments to pull clothes from some of the most significant designers presenting their SS16 collections at NYFWM. An homage to homegrown talent, this collection of images features the final selection that made it into print, plus some that haven’t been seen before, and a few behind the scenes shots of Mr. Swales at work. The clothing, a mix of tailored, sportswear and activewear, is demonstrative of luxury’s ongoing assimilation of performance and streetwear influences, with geometric patterns and stripes in black and white, punctuated by primary colors.
