BEN SHERMAN LAUNCHES NEW COLLABORATION WITH HARRY STYLES’S PAULI LOVEJOY

by John Russel Jones

Ben Sherman was established in London’s Swinging ’60s scene, when Mods, arising from the working class, ruled U.K.-style with sophisticated, Jazz-inspired fashion. Never straying too far from its roots, the brand has partnered with British drummer and musician Pauli Lovejoy, who, besides his solo career, has been in Damon Albarn’s Gorillaz, and been musical director for FKA Twigs, Harry Styles (he is also the drummer on Styles’s current world tour), and Molly Rogers. Lovejoy is featured in the B by Ben Sherman collection, which drops today.

Inspired by ’90s skate culture, this collection takes a contemporary twist on streetwear in the collection’s silhouettes. B by Ben Sherman highlights an oversized, relaxed, sweat-fit.

Retails range from $39 for a collection of pop-art inspired graphic T-shirts, to $225 for a classic Harrington jacket. Highlights of the group are retro Mod vertically striped long- and short-sleeved polo knits ($129 and $99). Woven camp shirts position the capsule perfectly for the transition from spring into summer.
