BERGDORF GOODMAN DEBUTS RANGE OF NEW SERVICES AS IT REOPENS MANHATTAN STORES
Bergdorf Goodman began the reopening of its New York City store this week with the launch of new services.
Some of the luxury retailer’s new offerings include contactless services as well as private and virtual appointments. Customers can connect with one of our Bergdorf Goodman associates to arrange for curbside pick-up at its store, or for same-day delivery within Manhattan. An associate can work with the client to personally curate their purchase, and upon order, the customer can then pick up their purchases at the desired date and time, or arrange for delivery.
Private in-store appointments are also available at both of the men’s and women’s stores. Customers can enjoy a safe and guided shopping experience with a sales associate, who will take them through the store, including its ready-to-wear, shoe, and accessories departments. Customers can expect a private shopping area or fitting room; a curated shopping experience, with items pre-selected for you for by customer’s request; alterations and tailoring services; and messenger service of purchases upon request.
Virtual online appointments can also be arranged at the men’s and women’s stores. A personal shopper will be on hand to take customers through the latest collections. Appointments include complimentary shipping.
Last week, the retailer launched complimentary same-day delivery to the Hamptons via its courier service. Customers can place an order with a Bergdorf Goodman associate by noon, specifying where and how they would like the package delivered. Bergdorf Goodman will arrange for the customer’s request to arrive at their doorstep that evening.
“At Bergdorf Goodman, we cultivate experiences beyond the expected and build unique and highly personalized relationships with our customers,” said Matt Marcotte, chief operating officer at Bergdorf Goodman. “We are committed to delivering channel-less selling across both the digital and physical environments to offer our customers the best Bergdorf’s experience, wherever and however the customer wants to shop and engage with us.”
Happy to see the doors are opening. I began my career at BG, so it will always have a place in my heart. Although it may seem frivalous at this time…the fantasy of Fifth Avenue for most, is a dream that keeps us many moving forward. To reach a level of financial independece, to walk into a Fifth Aven store and buy whatever you want. Yes a fantasy for many, but a fun one that puts a smile our faces as we admire the weekly changing windows. We have missed BG and SFA and welcome the opening of their doors. Wishing for all, a successful recovery from this dark moment in history. JW
