Bergdorf Goodman is expanding its e-commerce reach to more than 100 countries through a deal with Borderfree, a New York-based e-commerce platform company. The luxury retailer is using Borderfree’s new platform, BFX, which creates localized international versions of e-commerce sites.
“We recognize the enormous global ecommerce opportunity, particularly for luxury goods, and with BFX, we can immediately provide shoppers worldwide with a localized version of the Bergdorf Goodman website and offer international shipping,” said Bergdorf Goodman’s VP of operations and strategic initiatives Agatha Wirth.
Bergdorf Goodman was founded in New York in 1901 and is owned by the Neiman Marcus Group.
