Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom have announced that they will anchor a new 700,000 sq. ft. shopping mall in Norwalk, Conn. Being developed by General Growth Properties. The mall, in the Reed Putnam Urban Renewal area, is scheduled to open in fall 2018.
The Bloomingdale’s store, 150,000 sq. ft. on three levels, is expected to employ about 200 people.
“This spectacular new shopping center will be a distinctive and upscale destination for Fairfield County and surrounding areas, prominently positioned at I-95 and Highway 7,” said Bloomingdale’s CEO Tony Spring. “Our new store will offer an exciting fashion environment and a modern service experience to build upon our strong base of loyal omni-channel customers in the Northeast.”
