Bloomingdale’s is officially opening the doors to its new full-line store at Westfield Valley Fair in San Jose, California on Thursday, March 5th. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Bloomingdale’s Valley Fair is the retailer’s eleventh store in California and 35th full-line retail space nationwide. Mark Sullivan will lead the Bloomingdale’s San Jose store as general manager.

The 150,000 square-foot space features an impressive designer accessories floor filled with global powerhouse brands, a luxury jewelry presentation, a beauty playground with high-end skincare and fragrances lines, and a unique restaurant concept. Guests can enter the department store through the mall’s newly expanded indoor galleries and outdoor plazas or parking deck debuting this weekend. Inside, the store exhibits a welcoming atmosphere that was created by pairing the brand’s signature black and white checkerboard with decorative tiles. Guests can also unwind and recharge in social seating areas located across all three floors.

“We’re excited to expand the Bloomingdale’s brand in Northern California with the addition of a new full-line store in San Jose,” said Tony Spring, chairman and chief executive officer of Bloomingdale’s. “This store embodies the brand’s most modern and creative thinking to date and we’re thrilled for the Bay Area communities to see how Bloomingdale’s is like no other store in the world.”

Shoppers can expect the signature services and amenities Bloomingdale’s is known for on each floor. Exclusive to Bloomingdale’s Valley Fair is AnQi, the restaurant concept from Chef Helene An located on the first floor. Opening in the month of March, the culinary destination is a modern bistro and noodle bar, complete with delicious dishes like its signature garlic noodles. Continuing on the second floor is the Style Studio, home to cross-brand stylists that guide guests in curating the perfect wardrobe, followed by a registry area with dedicated consultants on the third floor. Additional services include a home stylist, a demo area for culinary demonstrations, on-site alterations, a buy online pick up in-store station and more.

The men’s department is located on the third floor along with home goods. Visitors browsing the menswear area will find sportswear styles from APC, Kenzo, Stone Island, and Helmut Lang along with tailored and sophisticated offerings from Canali, Armani, and Z Zegna. Nearby, the active apparel area has Nike, Reigning Champ, and Alo Yoga, followed by denim and outerwear sections with brand favorites like Rag & Bone, Canada Goose, and Barbour. An extensive selection of men’s accessories from Filson and Coach is featured, as well as a dedicated footwear area spanning Gucci, On, Y3, Salvatore Ferragamo, Bally and more.

To celebrate the retailer’s arrival at Westfield Valley Fair, Bloomingdale’s will host an ultra-luxe fair on March 4th in partnership with the 49ers Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the San Francisco 49ers whose mission is to educate and empower Bay Area youth. Tickets for the “Meet Us at the Fair” event can be found here, with 100 percent of all ticket sales going to support the 49ers Foundation and their direct programs.

For the first time in San Jose, Baccarat will bring the crystal-embellished Lady M x Baccarat Cake Truck to Bloomingdale’s Valley Fair, where guests can enjoy the world-renowned bakery’s Mille Crêpes cakes. Bloomingdale’s will also host events to support The Silicon Valley Education Foundation, Save the Redwood League, The Family Giving Tree, JDRF and the Child Mind Institute. Other events include interactive games, family-friendly carnival activities, kids’ fashion shows, and more.

Bloomingdale’s Valley Fair officially opens on Thursday, March 5th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 am, followed by four days of exciting public events. There’s also a special offer of 10x points for Loyallists members.
