BON-TON NAMES NEW COO
Bon-Ton Stores Inc will have a new chief operating officer as of next Monday.
The retailer, which has headquarters in both York, Penn. and Milwaukee, Wis. and which operates 270 stores under the the Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers names, announced today that it has hired William Tracy, 61, to fill the role. He starts July 27.
Tracy most recently served as EVP of supply chain, logistics & omnichannel fulfilment and global sourcing at Hudson’s Bay Company. He will be responsible for Bon-Ton’s stores, information systems, supply chain, distribution & logistics, omnichannel strategy, real estate and human resources.
He has more than 30 years of retail experience and previously served as COO of Fortunoff and Nine West. In addition, he has held leadership roles at Lord & Taylor and Abraham & Strauss.
