BORSALINO INKS NEW SOFT ACCESSORIES LICENSE

by Stephen Garner

Borsalino has signed a five-year licensing agreement with ISA Spa, a company specialized in textile solutions for the luxury market, for the launch of the brand’s first line of soft accessories. The first soft accessories collection is scheduled for the spring/summer 2022 season.

Under the direction of Borsalino’s creative curator Giacomo Santucci, the new collection of soft accessories for men and women consists of a vast array of ties, foulards, bow ties, gloves, and scarves. The range will be exclusively distributed in Borsalino flagships and select international multi-brand boutiques and department stores, as well as on the brand’s official e-commerce platform borsalino.com.

This new license signifies an important step in the ongoing strategy for the brand, which was acquired in 2018 by Haeres Equita fund. “ISA Spa is the ideal partner to develop and launch accessories for Borsalino, perfectly aligned with our DNA and strong brand identity,” said Mauro Baglietto, managing director at Borsalino. “The launch of the first line of soft accessories is consistent with our product extension strategy and will allow our consumers to further enrich their Borsalino experience.”

An industry leader and founded in 1959 as Industria Serica di Asnago, ISA Spa produces top-of-the-line fabrics and textiles for the most important brands in the luxury market and specializes in clothing, soft accessories, underwear, beachwear, and activewear. “Isa and Borsalino are two Made in Italy realities that hold the same DNA values: both know how to combine the ultimate in craftsmanship with a savvy industrial approach, aimed to offer products of excellence,” added Mila Zegna, CEO of ISA Spa.
