BUCK MASON AND J.PRESS COLLABORATE ON WEST COAST IVY WARDROBE

by John Russel Jones

Since 1902, J.Press has been a leading purveyor of Ivy style. Founded in 2013, Buck Mason is on a mission to redefine the modern American wardrobe. The first of a multi-season collaboration together, Buck Mason and J. Press have created a three-piece foundation for a West Coast Ivy wardrobe inspired by ex-GIs and soon-to-be Hollywood stars, all made entirely in the USA.

The first capsule consists of three basic pieces:

The Oxford Cloth Button Down Shirt

A classic American-made button-down collar Oxford cloth shirt with J.Press’ signature flap pocket and a 1960s-style shaped hem. Made in Fall River, MA.

The 5-Pocket Jean

1960s-style jeans in rinsed, non-selvedge Japanese denim with a high-rise, tapered leg, and shorter inseam. Made in Los Angeles, CA.

The Toughknit Pocket Tee

A mid-weight cotton pocket tee with a trimmer 1950s-style fit. Made at BM Knitting Mills in Mohnton, PA

The collaboration launched today on both brands’ websites and in select stores.
