CALA MEN’S SHOW SCHEDULED FOR THIS SUNDAY AND MONDAY, AUGUST 28TH AND 29TH

by Karen Alberg Grossman

With menswear retailers in an upbeat mood and top brands showing some of their best collections ever, it looks to be a home run for the CALA Trend Show coming up this weekend.

The show has expanded to include both men’s and women’s fashion. “I want to share that this is the largest show we’ve ever organized in 16 years,” says CALA show director Ken Haruta. “We have 175 men’s vendors and 66 women’s vendors for a total of 241.” The show switched about a year ago from hotel rooms to an open-booth format, now with 50,000 square feet of space at the Orange County Fair Grounds in Costa Mesa.

And calling all partygoers: the opening night celebration will take place at the OC Promenade (between the Anaheim and Los Alamitos buildings) on Sunday, August 28th from 5:30 to 7:30. Food, drinks and live music should maintain the positive energy. The party is sponsored by True Grit; other show sponsors include 34 Heritage, Robert Graham, Saxx, Alberto, Haupt, Luchiano Visconti, Max Colton and American Heritage.

Here’s to a Spring ’23 season of fabulous fashion!

  1. Kenny always puts on a great show. I’ve done all 16 shows and I think this show will be the best yet.
