CAMPER UNVEILS CAMPERLAB BY CONCEPT(K) SHOE

by John Russel Jones

Camperlab, Camper‘s experimental division, has partnered with Parisian design studio Concept(K), part of footwear innovation platform ConceptKICKS, to reimagine the brand’s iconic Tossu silhouette.

Guided by human-centered design principles, Concept(K) highlights the creative journey behind the latest developments in the footwear industry. It dissects the manufacturing process to reveal the intricate elements that shape thoughtful design.

The Camperlab Tossu incorporates advanced production techniques, including a direct injection process that seamlessly combines a molded rubber outsole with a 3D-knitted sock made from recycled polyester. With no glue required and zero waste generated, the Tossu is a testament to sustainability and innovation.

Together, Camperlab and Concept(K) joined their design principles in this new Tossu, inspired by raw materials and textures. The Tossu’s muted Earth-toned shades of gray and beige capture Concept(K)’s signature concrete-inspired palette, reflecting the studio’s core philosophy of uniting diverse elements into a cohesive whole.

The Camperlab by Concept(K) Stone Grey Tossu will be available for $360 retail on conceptkicks.com and camper.com and selected multibrand retailers on December 12.
