CLARKS AMERICAS MOVES HEADQUARTERS TO WALTHAM, MASSACHUSETTS
Clarks Americas, Inc., a subsidiary of C&J Clark Limited of Somerset, England, has opened its new Americas corporate headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts. The headquarters is located in the historic Polaroid building, and will further Clarks’ substantial growth and proven leadership in the footwear industry as the company continues to expand globally and refine operations within the region.
The 120,000 square-foot property is located at 60 Tower Road and occupies a four-story, single-tenant building on the main thoroughfare of Route 128. Boston Properties, one of the largest developers of premium office properties in the United States, worked alongside Clarks as the lead developer of the property. Boston-based Spagnolo Gisness & Associates, Inc. and ADD, Inc now with Stantec, designed the building’s exterior and interior, respectively.
The new headquarters will house over 400 employees across various regional and global departments. The building is registered under the LEED green building program with the certification goal of LEED Gold, having been built with energy efficiency and recycled materials, including solar panels on the roof. The new office also features various exciting amenities for the staff: an expansive roof deck, 5,000 square-foot private outdoor terrace, employee retail store, employee fitness center, 10 foot high windows, 50 foot skylights, a three-story lobby, covered parking, an employee bike sharing program, and much more.
