Cole Haan Adds Eyewear

Cole Haan Men's OpticalCole Haan is setting its sights on a new product category: eyewear.

The premium accessories brand announced today that it has entered into a multiyear licensing agreement with Altair, a division of Marchon Eyewear Inc, to design, manufacture and distribute Cole Haan branded men’s and women’s sunglasses and prescription eyewear.

The first collection will be distributed globally to eyewear chains, specialty retailers, independent vision practices and Cole Haan’s own stores starting for fall 2015.

A spokesperson for Altair told MR that details about the new collection’s size, style assortment, key materials and price points were not yet available and would be revealed closer to the products’ in-store launch date.

Altair also produces eyewear for brands such as Joseph Abboud and Tommy Bahama. Its products are sold through more than 10,000 independent optical retailers.
