CONVERSE AND CHET LO GET TOGETHER FOR NEW COLLAB
Asian-American designer Chet Lo showcased his Fall/Winter 2025 collection, Modern Antiquity, at London Fashion Week. He partnered with Converse to create a new collaboration, providing an exclusive sneak peek of the footwear designed for this collection.
Drawing inspiration from misrepresented artistic tropes, the collection manipulates traditional Western depictions of Asian culture, reshaping them into contemporary, subversive designs. Lo and his team have developed prints by deconstructing and distorting classic imagery: tiger prints emerge from exaggerated, repeated patterns, while traditional cloud motifs are reimagined through explosions that transform into floral formations. Signature textures and craftsmanship define the collection, featuring Lo’s iconic merino wool spikes, intricate woven pleating for dynamic textural contrast, and a plush knitting technique that creates dimensional floral patterns. The collection embraces depth and structure, reinforcing the theme of transformation through fabric and form.
