Online retailer Country Club Prep is opening a pop-up shop in the Hamptons for the summer, featuring a different preppy brand for a month at a time — starting with Southern Tide.

The shop, at 64 Jobs Lane, Southampton, Long Island, will have a soft opening next week in a 500 sq. ft. space previously occupied by the Kardashian sisters’ Dash store last summer. The shop will officially open Memorial Day weekend.

“Opening shop in Southampton made sense for a few reasons; the first is our major online presence in New York. The second is our appreciation for the historic ties traditional preppy style has to the region,” said Country Club Prep co-founder Stephen Glasgow in a statement. “If we get the traffic we are hoping to see this summer in the pop-up shop, we look forward to turning the store into a permanent installation.”

On the choice of Southern Tide as the first featured brand, Glasgow said, “Southern Tide has always been one of the best-performing brands on our website, so it was a natural choice to bring in for this first brick-and-mortar experience.”

“The Hamptons is, after all, where New York Preppy society goes to summer,” added Southern Tide CEO Christopher Heyn. “We’re excited about this opportunity to work with one of our key partners, the Country Club Prep team, bringing our famed ‘Skipjack’ and Southern Tide’s authentic brand of fun to the Northeast. Get ready for a new fish to take these northern shores.”

Glasgow and his business partner Matt Watson founded CountryClubPrep.com as an e-commerce retailer in 2012 and opened their first brick-and-mortar store in Charlottesville, Va. last August, followed by a second store in Lexington, Ky.
