[metaslider id=120136] Latin-inspired men’s brand Cubavera recently paid homage to Hispanic Heritage Month with a fashion show and celebration entitled “A Love Affair with Cuba,” at Manhattan’s El Barrio Artspace PS109.

At the event, hosted by celebrity and telenovela star Gabriel Coronel, Cubavera created an authentic Cuban experience for over 200 guests, including a runway preview of the Cubavera men’s fall/winter 2016 collection along with bevy of music, food and drinks designed to evoke Cuba’s golden age in the 1950s. The presentation of Cubavera’s current fashion offerings was also supplemented with an impressive state-of-the-art audiovisual tribute.

Since its inception in 2000 by Perry Ellis International, the Cubavera brand has transformed the ideals, joy and “sabor” of Latin culture into apparel. Taking authentic fundamentals from the traditional guayabera, the brand couples innovative fabrics and design for a new twist on a traditional staple, and includes both its signature shirts and a full collection of suit separates, shirts, jackets, pants and shorts.
